TS2 was one of the first of the TR models off the production line. It was given a full 'nuts and bolts' rebuild by the TR Register and is now proudly displayed at events across the country
It came to the Essex Group on 6th June as part of a nationwide tour to visit groups across the country.
The amount of effort put into the rebuild and attention to detail was evident throughout the car.
Those group members who own side screen cars were impressed by the performance of the car and the lack of rattles.
TS2 was not re-built to be cosseted in some museum, but to be driven and enjoyed...
... and many of the group took full advantage of a quick spin through the Essex countryside.
The local press in the shape of the Basildon and Billericay Weekly News turned out to cover the event....
... and Classic Car Weekly also ran a feature publicising the tour.
A quick line up with some of the members cars shows how TS2 gave birth to a legend in British sports cars..
...and the members were certainly happy with their day with TS2. Many thanks to the TR Register for organising it all.
