About 12 cars set out from Boreham on an overcast and chilly bank holiday to meet up with more cars at Birchanger Services.
The TR Register were represented and we joined with the North London Group and East Saxons to put on an extensive display of all models of TRs.
Chris Cunnington from Register HQ presented the range of cars in the central display area and explained the history and development of the TR Marque.
The Register was celebrating the birthday of the TR7 and 8 and these took pride of place in front of the display.
Brian Stokes won first prize for the best TR7 at the show...
...and we all posed for a picture for TR Action.
By the time we arrived we had more than 25 cars on display, covering all the TR range.
We took over the 'left wing' of the display next to the North London Group and with East Saxons on the 'right wing'.
The weather gradually wrmed up and by mid afternoon the sun was shining brightly.
We found space to set out the picnic tables and sit around for a good chat!
Here are a few of the other TRs on display from the other groups....

...and here are a few of the other vehicles on display at the show starting with a nice Triumph Stag.
This Lambourgini looks like something from Transformers!
A beautiful Aston Martin - still one of my favourites!
and a Bentley convertable - very nice.
But not all the cars were so exotic. I remember my brother had an A40 Somerset just like this.
This Austin Seven had been meticulously prepared
A classic MGA, once a rival to the TR range....
and a wonderfully restored Bedford truck.
This Ford Thames Van has had one owner since new and has driven all over the UK and also on the continent
and finally a Triumph Herald 12/50 convertable. Its good to see all these cars cherished by their owners.
