Essex Air Ambulance presentation, November 11

Following on from the photoshoot earlier in the year, Nina Benscher from the Essex Air Ambulance came along to the Shepherd and Dog and gave a presentation about the workings of the EAA. She described the helicopter they use and the crew that flies it. She also recounted some of the incidents that they had been called out to and the, literally, life saving benefits that the helicopter can bring. All this is done through voluntary contributions and without any government support. Lets hope we never have need to call on their services, but it is reassuring to know they are ready to fly at a moments notice. Thanks to Nina for coming along and answering our questions and also to Bob and Jozina Eve for fundraising in the club.
