Essex Air Ambulance

Essex Air Ambulance

Since 2010 the Essex TR Group’s adopted charity is the Essex Air Ambulance which, considering the invaluable support it provides at road traffic accidents, has an obvious link with a car club. However the EAA also provides life saving support for many other incidents affecting children, adults and the elderly. Some are listed below.

The Essex TR Group is proud to be able to report that our generous members contributed over £1,000 in 2010 and donations continue to be made, both in the participation by some members in the EAA’s “Flight For Life” Lottery and contributions in the donation boxes available at most club meetings and events. To find out more about the lottery click here.

For those unfamiliar with the Flight For Life this is a weekly lottery which supports the EAA while giving the chance to win up to £1,000 as below.

Of course not all can, or are inclined, to participate in a Lottery – also the odds of winning are very remote but look at this way, if the EAA have not had to make a payment to the TR Group so far then the funds are where they should be – keeping this very worthy charity going. And, heaven forbid, if any of us ever needed the EAA’s services I doubt they would complain about any lack of winnings!

A few facts about the Essex Air Ambulance:

  • Its charity registration is No. 1108989

  • Monthly costs are £250,000 on average
