Battlesbridge, Essex. September 2011

Battlesbridge is now an all ticket show and we managed to get twenty tickets for the club. The weather was fine, there were hundreds of cars to see, stalls selling those elusive spares and Bob and Jo won a prize!

	We met on a fine sunday morning at ASDA in South Woodham Ferrers to drive in convoy to the show in Battlesbridge.		Ernie took the opportunity to clear a few items from his garage to sell at the show.
	Some relaxed in the warm sunshine while others went round the show to see what else was on display and look through the various trade stalls.		We had a steady flow of people coming through admiring the cars and asking questions. It's amazing how many people say "I always wanted one of these" - well get out there and buy one!
	There was probably no one more surprised than Bob and Jo Eve who came back to find a rosette on their car.		They had won a 'highly commended' for 'KatyB'. Jo is convinced the french tour badge still attached to the bumper clinched it for them as it showed the car was really used regularly.
	Now will you look at the curves on those sidescreens! Sheer beauty!		And a final wave from the group members. You can see they all enjoyed the day. Thanks to those that helped organise it all and especially to those who gave up their places so others could attend.

Similarly if you intend to go to The Harold Wood car show on the 16th June you need to e-mail John Pottinger so he can ensure we have enough space to be together.
